STILLWATER – Amidst an 11-game win streak, Oklahoma State softball rises in the national polls, ranked No. 3 in the USA Today/NFCA Coaches Poll and ranked No. 3 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25.

 

The ranking rounds out a handful of top-three rankings Oklahoma State has compiled after its five-game sweep at the Troy Cox Classic in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and at UTEP.

The Cowgirls are fresh off their second-consecutive weekend sweep, collecting wins over New Mexico, Nebraska, Cal State Bakersfield, New Mexico State and UTEP to push their current win streak to 11 games.

 

Over the weekend, OSU outscored its opponents 49-8; three of its five victories came via run rule, and twice OSU kept its opponent off the scoreboard.

 

The Pokes welcome Maine, Missouri, Tarleton State and South Dakota State to Stillwater for their 2023 home opener: the OSU/Tulsa Invitational from March 3-5.

 

The Cowgirls’ weekend slate begins with Maine on Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium.
