STILLWATER, OKLA. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team will begin the 2021 season ranked No. 11 in the 2021 ITA Division I preseason women's rankings released by the ITA on Thursday.

The Cowgirls are set to face six of the top 25 teams in the nation in addition to hosting the Indoor National Championships in four weeks with eight of the best teams in the country competing in Stillwater. 

Head coach Chris Young will look to lead multiple nationally-ranked Cowgirls to a successful 2019-20 campaign. On Wednesday, three members of the Oklahoma State women's tennis team earned individual rankings in the latest singles and doubles polls released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Wednesday.

Junior Bunyawi Thamchaiwat earned the highest singles ranking of any Cowgirl as she landed at No. 24 in the latest ITA rankings. Junior’s Ayumi Miyamoto and Alana Wolfberg came in at No. 77 and No. 105 respectively. In doubles, Miyamoto and Thamchaiwat are tied for the No. 34 doubles team in the country.

The Cowgirls will open the 2021 spring season with a doubleheader against Missouri on Jan. 16 at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
