(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / February 28, 2019) – The No. 21 Oklahoma State softball team's home-opening doubleheader against Seattle has been cancelled due to cold temperatures in the Stillwater area Thursday. The recently-scheduled games will not be made up.

Oklahoma State will now shift gears toward the opening day of the OSU/Tulsa Invitational, which begins Friday morning. The Cowgirls will welcome the Redhawks, along with Syracuse, McNeese State and Northern Iowa to their home park as part of the tournament.
OSU's home slate will now open with a Friday doubleheader against Syracuse and McNeese State beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT. The Pokes will face McNeese State and Northern Iowa Saturday afternoon before concluding their five-game weekend against UNI on Sunday at noon.

Coach Kenny Gajewski and the Cowgirls are currently 10-5 through their first 15 games - the program's best 15-game start since also going 10-5 in 2014. Seven of those victories have come against ranked competition, including a pair of wins over top-15 opponents.

It is the first time OSU has defeated two top-15 opponents in its first 15 games since 2005 when the Cowgirls bested No. 13 Oregon and No. 3 UCLA during the season's first three weeks.
