Cowgirl Soccer Releases 2024 Schedule

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State will play 12 home matches during the 2024 season, with 11 Big 12 Conference contests, six at Neal Patterson Stadium, also on the docket.

Of OSU’s 19 opponents in 2024, 12 of those finished in the top 125 of the NCAA RPI in 2023, including eight in the top 100.

OSU is coming off a 12-8-0 season in 2023, which included a 5-5-0 mark and seventh place finish in the Big 12 standings. The Cowgirls return nine starters from that squad, including All-Big 12 midfielder Xcaret Pineda, leading goal scorer Logan Heausler and goalie Grace Gordon, who posted six shutouts a year ago.

The Cowgirls open 2024 with a preseason exhibition match at home against Tulsa on Aug. 9 before kicking off the regular season with a road test Aug. 15 at Nebraska. The Cornhuskers were an NCAA quarterfinalist last year.

OSU’s home opener is scheduled for Aug. 18 against Oral Roberts at Neal Patterson Stadium. The Cowgirls will also host Bedlam-rival Oklahoma (Aug. 22), Texas State (Sept. 5), ULM (Sept. 8) and Texas A&M-Commerce (Sept. 15) in non-conference play.

Along with the season opener, OSU’s non-conference road matches include Central Arkansas (Aug. 25) and San Diego State (Aug. 31).

The Cowgirls open Big 12 play on the road, taking on Baylor on Sept. 12. OSU will also travel to BYU (Sept. 26), Utah (Sept. 29), Kansas (Oct. 5) and UCF (Oct. 20) in league action.

OSU’s Big 12 home opener comes Sept. 19 when it takes on Colorado prior to facing Texas Tech later that weekend at Neal Patterson Stadium. In other conference home matches, the Cowgirls will welcome Houston (Oct. 10), Cincinnati (Oct. 13), Iowa State (Oct. 17) and TCU (Oct. 25) to Stillwater, with the match against the Horned Frogs marking the regular season finale.

The Big 12 Soccer Championship will return to Kansas City this season and will be played at the new CPKC Stadium, home of the NWSL’s Kansas City Current. The conference’s top 12 teams will qualify for the tourney, which will be held Oct. 30-Nov. 9.

The NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship begins Nov. 15 and concludes with the NCAA College Cup in Cary, N.C., Dec. 6 & 9.
