STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women’s golf coach Greg Robertson announced his 2023-24 schedule today. The two-time defending Big 12 champions will play 10 regular season events, highlighted by trips to Pebble Beach and Puerto Rico.
“We are very excited about this year’s schedule,” Robertson said. “Our team will have the opportunity to compete from coast to coast on some of the nation’s best golf courses against some of the top teams in college golf.”
OSU, which placed 11th in last year’s NCAA Championship, will again be led by senior Maddison Hinson-Tolchard, the reigning conference individual champ and a participant in this summer’s Women’s U.S. Open, as well as rising junior Clemence Martin.
OSU plays the first of four fall events, Sep. 1-3, at the prestigious Carmel Cup, located in Pebble Beach, Calif., where it finished third a year ago. This PGA mainstay course resides across the pacific coastline, offering players some of the most beautiful sights in the sport.
Next, the Cowgirls travel 90 minutes south to compete at the Schooner Fall Classic from Sep. 23-25 in Norman, Okla. Martin’s third-place finish last year was the highest of her Cowgirl career.
The Cowgirls hit the road Oct. 9-10 for the Illini Women’s Invitational in Medinah, Ill. Hinson-Tolchard starred on this par-72 course at Medinah Country Club last season, placing third individually.
OSU will round out its fall schedule at the Jim West Challenge in San Marcos, Texas from Oct. 22-23. The Cowgirls are no stranger to Kissing Tree Golf Club, having won back-to-back titles at this event.
The Cowgirls kick off the new year at the Puerto Rico Classic at Grand Reserve Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico from Feb. 4-6. The 7,506-yard, par-72 course is renowned for its tropical beachfront views and is home to the PGA’s Puerto Rico open. The Cowgirls last appeared in this event in 2020.
Next, OSU heads to the ICON Invitational at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas from Feb. 26-27. The Cowgirls finished fourth at this 54-hole tournament last season, notably shooting 15-under on par-5 holes.
The Cowgirls head to Augusta, Ga. from Mar. 9-10 to compete at the Valspar Augusta Invitational. Forest Hills Golf Club features a 6,244-yard, par-72 course, which was cut short in 2023 due to inclement weather.
Making its first appearance since 2019, the Cowgirls will head to the PING/ASU Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz., from Mar. 28-30. The 6,543 yard, par-72 Papago Golf Course carries beautiful views of the Papago Buttes and Camelback Mountain.
OSU will close out the regular season at Match Play at the Jimmie at Jimmie Austin Golf Club from Apr. 8-9 in Norman, Okla.
The Cowgirls will look to defend their Big 12 Championship Apr. 18-20 in Hockley, Texas at The Club at Houston Oaks. OSU is looking to earn three-straight conference titles for the fourth time in program history and for the second in the Big 12 era.
Spread across multiple locations, the NCAA Regional Championships will be held from May 6-8. Last season, the Cowgirls punched a third-consecutive ticket to the NCAA Championship after finishing tied for third at the NCAA San Antonio Regional at TPC San Antonio.
The Cowgirls will look to log their overall 25th appearance in the NCAA Championships, which takes place this season, May 17-22, at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Hinson-Tolchard finished fourth on the individual leaderboard in 2023.
