(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / September 12, 2018) – The Oklahoma State Equestrian team is ranked No. 4 in the preseason edition of the NCEA Coaches Poll released today.
This marks the program’s second-straight top-five preseason ranking and is the Cowgirls’ sixth consecutive year in the preseason top 10. The Cowgirls were ranked No. 4 heading into last season.
Head coach Larry Sanchez and the Cowgirls are coming off a 10-4 record in 2017-18 that saw them sweep Big 12 Conference play en route to their sixth Big 12 championship.
Along with OSU, Big 12 teams TCU and Baylor are ranked fifth and seventh, respectively.
OSU opens its season September 28 in College Station against No. 3 Texas A&M. The Cowgirls defeated the Aggies, 10-8, last season.
