STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team jumped five spots to No. 13 in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings released on Tuesday evening.
After debuting at No. 18 in the first playoff poll, the Cowboys got a boost from their 43-37 comeback win at Kansas State last Saturday. It marks the Pokes’ highest ranking in the poll since Nov. 24 of last season and the fifth time OSU has been ranked in the poll’s top 15 over the last two seasons.
OSU is one of three Big 12 teams to appear in this week’s rankings, as Oklahoma jumped three spots to No. 11 and West Virginia fell four spots to No. 16. Baylor dropped from the poll after being ranked No. 17 last week.
Earlier this week, the Cowboys came in at No. 17 in both the Associated Press and Amway Coaches polls.
The Cowboys will host Texas Tech on Senior Night this weekend at Boone Pickens Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Fox Sports 1.
