Cowboy Wrestling Announces Sellout Against Iowa
STILLWATER – Gallagher-Iba Arena will host a capacity crowd this weekend, as tickets to Oklahoma State’s dual against Iowa on Sunday, February 25, are officially sold out, Cowboy wrestling announced Thursday.
The announcement comes just days after 9,912 fans piled into Gallagher-Iba Arena to watch Oklahoma State win its 19th-straight Phillips 66 Bedlam Series dual last Sunday.
Oklahoma State wrestling’s most recent sellout came on February 24, 2019, in Iowa’s last visit to Gallagher-Iba Arena. In front of 13,811 people, the second-ranked Cowboys topped No. 3 Iowa, 27-12, to finish the regular season with a perfect 15-0 record. That attendance ranks second-largest in Gallagher-Iba Arena’s wrestling history, only behind 2017’s crowd of 14,059 against Penn State, which also holds the arena’s all-time record regardless of sport.
Just like five years ago, the Cowboys entered Sunday ranked second in the country and looking to complete the 48th undefeated season in program history.
Sunday’s dual is slated for 2 p.m. and will be nationally televised on FS1.
For fans still seeking seats to the dual, tickets may be found on SeatGeek, the official resale market of Oklahoma State Athletics. Despite the public ticket sellout, students with an all-sports pass will still be able to attend.
