STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team rose to No. 11 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 10 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, which were released on Tuesday.

The Cowboys opened the 2022 season with a 58-44 win over Central Michigan at Boone Pickens Stadium. Led by Spencer Sanders’ 463 yards of total offense and six touchdowns that earned him Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors, OSU won its eighth-straight season opener and gave Mike Gundy his 150th career win as head coach.

Oklahoma State is one of three members of the Big 12 ranked in the polls, as Oklahoma leads the way at No. 7 in both polls, with Baylor (9/8) and OSU closely behind. Texas is ranked No. 22 in the coaches poll, while Kansas State, TCU and Texas Tech are each receiving votes in one set of the polls.

The Cowboys return to action Saturday night, hosting Arizona State at 6:30 p.m. CT in Boone Pickens Stadium.
