STILLWATER, Okla. (October 21, 2015) – The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association invites all OSU, Stillwater and area community members to Hester Street Painting to share their OSU spirit and creativity for Homecoming 2015: ‘Stillwater, Still Loyal, Still True’.

Each year, OSU family members paint encouraging messages for the Cowboy Football team and coaches to read on Hester Street during the game day Spirit Walk. The OSU Alumni Association will provide supplies and fans of all ages are encouraged to attend.

“Hester Street Painting is another way to make ‘The Walk’ more exciting, and to encourage the football team with uplifting words as they make their way to Boone Pickens Stadium for the game. It is really cool to see the creative paintings that people make that incorporate Homecoming and OSU,” said Josie Blosser, University Spirit Executive.

Painting will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, on Hester Street between the Student Union and Engineering South.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for Thursday, Oct. 22, at the same time. Updates will be posted on the Homecoming website.

OSU’s Homecoming is presented each year by the OSU Alumni Association and nationally recognized as “America’s Greatest Homecoming Celebration”. The event returns tens of thousands of proud alumni to Stillwater during the fall to partake in the festivities and reconnect with their alma mater. Homecoming 2015: ‘Stillwater, Still Loyal, Still True’ will be Oct. 16-24. For more information, visit http://orangeconnection.org/homecoming or call the Homecoming hotline at 405.744.5410.
