(STILLWATER, Oklahoma / July 25, 2019) - Members of the Cimarron Valley Quilters’ Guild are busy preparing for their “Vintage to Modern Quilt Show” to be held September 20 and 21 at the Payne County Expo Center, 4518 Expo CR E, Stillwater.  The show will run from 9 am to 8 pm on Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday.  The organization Visit Stillwater is graciously assisting the quilt guild in marketing this event.

Over 250 quilts sewn by guild members and others will be on display.  Major categories will include pieced, applique, mixed techniques, art quilts and vintage quilts.  Also on display will be a collection of modern challenge quilts designed around one of three vintage block designs.

Visitors to the show may want to shop for a special gift at the boutique or at the many commercial vendor booths.  Boutique items will include small wall hangings, small flags and flag kits as well as table runners and other items. Vendors will carry fabric, notions and patterns.

At the conclusion of the show on Saturday, there will be a drawing for a beautiful quilt to be presented to one lucky winner.  This quilt (pictured) was pieced and quilted entirely by guild members.

Show tickets are available in advance for $8 per day from guild members, at The Quilting Post, 717 South Main, Stillwater and at Sew N Sews, 211 North Perkins Road, Stillwater.  Tickets are also available for $10 per day at the door.  For more information visit www.cvqg.org or call 405-377-5671 and leave a message.
