Stillwater's Week to Get Reved Up by Hot Rod Power Tour

On Thursday, more than 3,000 high performance vehicles will be rolling into Stillwater as part of the 2012 Hot Rod Power Tour.  

From 8:30 – 11:30 a.m., there will be pre-Hot Rod Power Tour events at the Wal-Mart located at 111 N. Perkins Road.

The cars will be arriving in Stillwater between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A detailed map of the route can be located here.

From noon-6:30 p.m., the cars will be parked at the Kicker Audio Complex. There will be a variety of activities there including giveaways, games, and the Chevrolet Performance show. Kicker will also be hosting audio install seminars.

The Hot Rod Power Tour is free to the public.

Tonight, Downtown Stillwater and the Riders of Stillwater are hosting the Downtown Stillwater Bike Night. Bike Night is a family-friendly event that allows motorcycle enthusiasts to show off their bikes, meet new people, and have a great time.

There are a variety of other family-friendly events this week.

This afternoon the Stillwater Public Library will host Oklahoma Children’s Theater. There will be three show times at 10 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tomorrow afternoon the library is hosting a teen summer program called Light Up the Night from 2-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  On Thursday, the library will host two showings of Alice in Wonderland at 10 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. and a Summer Community Band Concert from 7-8:30 p.m.

Thursday the Oklahoma State Student Union will host its weekly program Summer on the Plaza highlighted by musicians Jack and Dave. That same night, Pioneer Stadium, will be hosting the 5A Boys and Girls All-State Soccer games.
